ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ (ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ) ਨੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਚਲਾਈ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਬੱਲੂਆਣਾ ਸਥਿਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਆਪਰੇਟਰ ਲਾਭਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ 12,000 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਕਾਬੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਦੇ ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਥਿਤ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਆਪਰੇਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਬੱਲੂਆਣਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਬਿਆਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਕਾਰਡਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਉਸਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਕਤ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਆਪਰੇਟਰ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਚਾਚੇ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਬਦਲੇ 12,000 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਮੰਗ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸਬੂਤ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ‘ਤੇ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ, ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਰੇਂਜ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਉਪਰੋਕਤ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਲਾਭਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਲ ਵਿਛਾਇਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਦੋ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਗਵਾਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਤੋਂ 12,000 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲ ‘ਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਫਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
